Definition of COSTOCLAVICULAR

: of or relating to a ligament connecting the costal cartilage of the first rib with the clavicle

The thoracic outlet is the space between your your first rib and your collarbone (clavicle). This tight passageway is filled with blood vessels, arteries, muscles, and nerves. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) refers to the abnormal compression or irritation of these vessels, arteries, nerves, and muscles in this area.
